Military training has evolved far beyond live-fire ranges. Virtual Simulation & Synthetic Environments

Virtual simulators place trainees in realistic synthetic environments replicating combat conditions. We develop and integrate flight simulators training pilots in combat maneuvers, driving simulators for ground vehicle crews, ship bridge simulators for naval operations, and dismounted infantry simulators for urban combat. Modern simulators provide 360-degree visual displays, motion platforms replicating vehicle dynamics, realistic weapons effects, and after-action review capturing trainee performance. The synthetic environments include detailed terrain databases, dynamic weather, and intelligent opposing forces providing realistic threats.

Live Training Instrumentation

Live force-on-force training provides realism unmatched by simulators. However, learning requires objective assessment of trainee performance. Our instrumented training ranges provide GPS tracking showing unit movements during exercises, laser engagement systems determining hits in force-on-force scenarios, communications recording for after-action analysis, and video cameras capturing key events. Range control infrastructure monitors exercises in real-time, ensuring safety while allowing realistic combat scenarios. After-action review systems present exercise data, enabling trainers to identify performance gaps and areas for improvement.

Distributed Mission Operations

Modern coalition operations require forces to train together before deploying. Distributed mission operations (DMO) networks link simulators and live training sites worldwide, enabling combined exercises without the cost of deploying forces to common locations. We implement DMO infrastructure based on High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards, enabling interoperability between NATO training systems. DMO exercises routinely connect air, land, and maritime simulators across multiple countries, providing realistic joint and coalition training at fraction of live exercise cost.
